[Korean Slang] #46 수능(CSAT)

Welcome to Wikinae’s Korean Slang #46

Have you ever taken the SAT or any other college entrance exam? 📖

In today’s post, let’s find out about the Korean “CSAT”!

✔수능 is short for ‘대학수학능력시험’ which means ‘college entrance exam’ or ‘CSAT’.

The literal translation is ‘College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT)’. It is held once every year on Thursday, just before the third Saturday of November.

It is a standardized test for high school graduates and students to enter university.

A: 올해는 교과과정이 바뀌어서 수능이 어떻게 나올지 모르겠어…

This year, the school curriculum has changed, so I’m not sure how the CSAT will be like…

B: 너무 긴장하지 말고, 잘 볼 수 있을 거야!

Don’t get too nervous, you’ll do great!
