[Korean Slang] #34 너 T야?(Don’t you know how to relate to others?)

Welcome to Wikinae’s Korean Slang #34

Are you good at empathizing with others?

In Korea, some people say “너 T야?” to someone who isn’t very empathetic 🤖

In today’s post, let’s find out what “너 T야?” is!

✔너 T야? is used when someone does not seem to empathize with someone or something.

The literal translation is ‘Are you a T (Thinking Type)?’. This can be loosely translated to “Don’t you know how to relate to others?”, “Don’t you have any emotions?”, “Are you human?”.

The MBTI test categorizes people as ‘T’ (Thinker) or ‘F’ (Feeler) based on their reactions to situations. This leads to the stereotype that Thinkers are cold and less empathetic compared to Feelers.

Recently, this expression has become a meme and is used to tease someone as a joke, or as content for videos on social media.
