[Korean Slang] #31 잠수 타다(To ghost someone)

Welcome to Wikinae’s Korean Slang #31

Have you ever had a boyfriend or girlfriend suddenly ghost you, and you couldn’t get in touch with them? Ghost

In today’s post, let’s find out how Koreans say “to ghost someone”!

✔️잠수 타다 is an expression that means ‘to ghost someone’ or ‘lay low for a while’.

The literal translation is ‘to dive’ or ‘to go underwater’. ‘잠수 타다’ can be used for ghosting someone both online and offline.

This term is often combined with ‘이별 (Breakup)’ in the form of ‘잠수이별’, which means ‘(ending a relationship by) ghosting’.
