잠수 타다 is an expression that means ‘to ghost someone’ or ‘lay low for a while’.

The literal translation is ‘to dive’ or ‘to go underwater’. ‘잠수 타다’ can be used for ghosting someone both online and offline.

This term is often combined with ‘이별 (Breakup)’ in the form of ‘잠수이별’, which means ‘(ending a relationship by) ghosting’.
